India 1st Batting

Srilanka won the toss and declared to bowl first. 

After this, the indian team, who batted first, had a rough start. Gill and Jaiswal were the openers for the indian team. Srilanka's bowling was amazing right from the start.

Jaiswal, an opener for the Indian team, was a disappointment as he got out for 10 runs.  The much-anticipated Sanju Samson, who came in to bat after him, got out for no runs.  Unable to cope with the bowling of the Sri Lankan team, the Indian team lost successive wickets.  Rinku Singh was out for 1 run, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav was out for 8 runs and Shivam Dube was out for 13 runs.At that time, the Indian team was in a miserable state of 48/5 (8.4 overs).

Gill and Ryan parag then put on 54 off 40 balls.  Gill was out for 39(37) when the team's score was 102. Then Ryan parag was out for 26 off 18 balls.  Next came Washington Sundar who scored 25 off 18 balls.  In the end, the Indian team made a respectable score of 137/9.

Regarding Sri Lanka's bowling, Theekshana took 3 wickets in 4 overs and gave only 28 runs. And Hasaranga took 2 wickets in 4 overs and gave 29 runs.Sri Lankan young bowler Wickramasinghe, who made his debut, bowled brilliantly and conceded just 17 runs, taking 1 wicket in 4 overs.

Match Tied

Chasing a simple target of 138, Sri Lanka played well from the start.  The team's openers added 58 runs for the first wicket.  Nissanka was out for 26 runs and then Perera and Mendis put on a 52 run partnership.  Then the Sri Lankan team was in a strong position of 110/2 (15.2 overs).To win, the Sri Lankan team scored only 28 runs from 28 balls.  The victory was on the side of the Sri Lankan team.  Indian team bowlers who bowled well in this difficult situation bishnoi, washington sundar, rinku singh and suryakumar yadav took wickets successively.  In the end Sri Lanka needed 9 runs from 12 balls to win and had 6 wickets in hand.  Then Rinku singh who came to bowl the 19th over bowled very well and gave only 3 runs and took 2 wickets. This was the turning point of the game.  In the end Sri Lanka needed 6 runs from 6 balls.

Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav who came to bowl the last over bowled well and took 2 wickets and gave only 5 runs.  This made the game a tie.

Super Over

The match was tied so the super over was played. Sri Lanka batted first and Washington Sundar bowled the super over for the Indian team.  Sundar bowled the first ball wide and scored 1 run in the next ball.  He took two consecutive wickets in the 2nd and 3rd balls.  As a result, the Sri Lankan team scored only 2 runs in the Super Over.  Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav, who came in to chase this run, sent the first ball of Theekshana to the boundary and made the Indian team win.

In the end, the Indian team won the T20 series by 3-0.  Washington Sundar, who bowled brilliantly in the Super Over, won the man of the match award.  Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of this team who played well in this series, won the Man of the Series award.

The 3-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will be held in Sri Lanka on August-2nd, August-4th and August-7th.  All these matches will be played as day-night matches and all matches will start at 2:30 PM IST.  Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Iyer have been included in the Indian ODI squad.
